Job Description Summary:

 Are you a creative professional who is able to provide technical skills to bring visual designs to life online? If so, the UX/UI Front-End Programmer/Developer role is the position for you! The Front-end Programmer/Developer will coordinate the development of project plans, assist with problem solving, and perform testing and documenting of computer systems.

Some Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the request queue ensuring that user requests are completed according to the department’s SLA.
  • Translate graphic designs into responsive CMS templates and themes
  • Integrate external services into websites via RESTful/SOAP API's
  • Collaborate with staff, and vendors to design interfaces and wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Create and maintain documentation on projects
  • Maintain previously completed projects by troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Maintain company websites and pages related to application interfaces


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering or Graphic Design
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience:
    • using and maintaining Leading Content Management Systems
    • with SharePoint and WordPress
    • with MSSQL, MySQL, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, XHTML, XML and CSS
    • working with RESTful APIs
    • with Search Engine Optimization
    • working with responsive web design fundamentals
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and database design
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting database driven applications
  • Strong understanding of progressive enhancement, graceful degradation, mobile first and other design strategies
  • Understanding and experience with user experience and interaction design
  • Working knowledge of digital layout design
  • Familiarity with additional server-side language and web development framework such as PHP, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, or Python
