Job Description Summary:

AmeriCU Credit Union is seeking the perfect candidate to fill a Mortgage Executive role!

Some Roles and Responsibilties Include:

  • Provides excellent service to existing and prospective members seeking residential mortgage or home equity loan information.
  • Establishes relationships with and calls on Realtors, Builders, Developers and other professionals in order to increase mortgage activity and expand mortgage referral network.
  • Interviews members to determine what mortgage or home equity loan program best meets their needs.
  • Completes mortgage or home equity loan application, explains documents to applicants and ensures accuracy of the mortgage file.
  • Obtains and analyzes pertinent financial data.
  • Communicates with member on the progress of the application.
  • Maintains full knowledge of all government, investor and internal policies and procedures to insure compliance.
  • Provides excellent service to existing and prospective members seeking residential mortgage information.
  • Responsible for initial registration in NMLS database and for maintaining personal information.  Data must be accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associates Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of one - (1) year experience in Residential Mortgage Lending.
  • If acting as a Mortgage Loan Originator, (MLO), will be required to be registered in the National Mortgage Licensing Registry. (NMLR)
  • Communication: Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Team Management: Must possess strong skills that facilitate collaboration in a team environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of the mortgage loan process.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Internet use required to produce reports and presentations.
